The Governors of Buxton Infant School and Fairfield Infant & Nursery School are seeking to recruit a suitable individual to support the work of our Governing Boards.

The post requires attendance to all meetings of Buxton Infant Schools Full Governing Board (FGB) meetings currently held 6 times per annum during school term time and 3 FGB and 9 committee meetings at Fairfield Infant & Nursery School.

The ideal candidate will be capable of organising meetings, preparing agendas, accurately recording minutes and disseminating information in a timely manner.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good degree of IT literacy are essential.

The post will require attendance to meetings and in addition, further work will be required.  Previous clerking experience, knowledge of Governing Body procedures and an understanding of educational legislation is desirable but not essential as training can be made available.

Midday Supervisor Vacancy

The Governing Body at Buxton Infant School wish to appoint a positive and enthusiastic person to join our team of midday supervisors.

Duties will include supervising the children during their lunchtime from 11.55am – 13.20pm each day; encouraging active play and ensuring the welfare and safety of pupils.  Previous experience of working with children (including raising own) is desirable and knowledge of basic first aid is expected.

The appointed person will be someone who can build excellent relationships with our children, the midday team, teaching staff and have a willingness to learn and undertake further training as required.
