Year 2 Avatar

Welcome to Year 2!

In Year 2 we work very hard on a range of topics and activities across the curriculum including learning about our planet and outer space!  Please have a look at our topic webs below to see what we are learning about at the moment.

It continues to be really important that we read at home, and we really appreciate parents and carers help with this.

Out and about in Year 2

Not all of our learning takes place in a classroom;  we love to visit new places and bring our leaning to life!  In year 2 we visit The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, where we enjoy the outdoors and learning about the variety of sculptures.  We also visit The Derby Open Centre, where we can learn about other cultures and customs.  Later in the school year we visit Tittesworth, where we enjoy a walk in amongst the beautiful surroundings.
